The small patients with disabilities of the Mother and Child Center took part in a workshop where they drew, colored, modeled figures and made Christmas greetings and decorations, helped by teachers of plastic arts, picture and composition of the Children’s Center “Floarea-Soarelui”, Info-Prim Neo reports. Vice director of the Mother and Child Center, neurologist Diana Coropceanu said the event was held in the context of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Children with mental and locomotor disabilities took part in the workshop. “Childhood is the most important stage in life, no matter whether the child is healthy or not. Everyone must have a happy childhood. We decided to organize this event for children who receive treatment at our hospital in order to create a warmer atmosphere and to show that the disabled children can also do nice things,” said Diana Coropceanu. Lolita Cighirin, teacher at the Children’s Center “Floarea-Soarelui”, said that this workshop represents a new experience for her because she never worked with disabled children earlier. “I got the jitters at start as I did not know if I will cope, but I realized that they are talented children who are very patient,” she stated. Another teacher, Angela Nuca said she helps the children to make Christmas greetings because the winter holidays are coming. According to her, the children are interested in arts and have a reach imagination. The works will be displayed on a broad inside the institution. Afterward, the authors will take their works home. Those who will be discharged earlier will receive them by mail. The budget of the event is over 7,000 lei. The money was allocated by Dufremol SRL.
