The Slovak authorities support the idea that Moldova should be offered the perspective of joining the European Union, and announce the intention to open an Embassy in Chisinau, the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration said in a press release on the occasion of Minister Iurie Leanca's visit to Bratislava. During the visit, Slovak Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Miroslav Lajčák assured Iurie Leanca that Moldova can further count on Slovakia's full support in the Moldova-EU dialogue on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement and on the visa liberalization Action Plan. The Slovak authorities will also continue to transfer EU integration experience to Moldovan agencies.
