President of Slovakia Ivan Gasparovic will pay an official visit to Moldova, the next week, on June 19-21. The Slovak head of state will arrive at Chisinau airport on Tuesday evening and on the first day of his visit he will have a tête-à-tête with his Moldovan counterpart, Vladimir Voronin. Then the configuration of the meeting will vary and several bilateral agreements will be signed. The same day, the Slovak president will have a meeting with Moldovan prime-minister Vasile Tarlev and will participate in the Moldovan-Slovak business forum. In the afternoon, the Slovak guest will receive the tile of “Doctor Honoris Causa” of the Moldovan State University. The second day, Ivan Gasparovic will have a meeting with Speaker of Parliament Marian Lupu. According to the presidential Press Service, Vladimir Voronin, invited his Slovak counterpart to Moldova in September 2005, in New York, on the occasion of the 60th session of the UN General Assembly, and the official confirmation of the visit was made during the visit of Vasile Tarlev to Slovakia, in March 2007.
