Slovakia is ready to export financial resources to Moldova, consul
The Republic of Slovakia is ready to export financial resources to Moldova, to the areas where the Moldovan Government and people want, the honorific consul of Slovakia to Moldova Iurie Popovici said in the public debates held on the occasion of Europe Days in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Iurie Popovici stated that the accession to the EU for Slovakia meant certain opportunities that it knew how to use and Moldova enjoys the same opportunities. If it takes them, it will be able to ensure decedent living conditions.
“Over these years, Slovakia turned from a country that consumed the funds allocated by the EU into a country that can export financial resources and is ready to export them to Moldova as well. The Slovak Government can export money to the areas where the Moldovan Government and people want. We are open for any cooperation in the economic sphere, where we had success,” said Iurie Popovici.
He also said that the economic relations between Moldova and Slovakia have developed during the last few years, but there is yet potential. “A legal framework was created between Moldova and Slovakia and there are all the legal documents needed to bring Slovakian investments into Moldova,” stated the consul.
Iurie Popovici stressed that Slovakia supports Moldova’s integration into the EU, but a lot of work should be done. According to him, if the Moldovans and their authorities really want to form part of the European Union, they will achieve this goal.
Slovakia joined the European Union in 2004.
