Slovak foreign minister to visit Chisinau
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia Mikulaš Dzurinda will pay a working visit to Moldova with the aim of developing the Moldovan-Slovak relations and promoting the bilateral dialogue, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova.
The program of the visit includes the launch of the National Convention for European Integration, which is a project similar to that implemented by Slovakia when it held talks on accession to the EU.
The project aims to develop the strategies and mechanisms for communicating with civil society so as to better inform the population about the reforms promoted by the Government.
The meetings of the Slovak and Moldovan officials will center on the Moldovan-Slovak cooperation, support to the economic reforms, implementation of projects to strengthen the institutional and development assistance capacities as well as Slovakia's European integration experience and its participation in the Vyshegrad Group.
Mikulaš Dzurinda will take part in a ceremony that will be held to mark Slovakia's joining of the Common Visa Issuing Center housed by the Hungarian Embassy in Chisinau and will have a meeting with students of the State University of Moldova.
