Good news for amateurs of roller skating. A skate park will be opened in the Park “Valea Trandafirilor” in Chisinau this October. A decision to this effect was adopted by the councilors of Chisinau by a unanimous vote on June 28, IPN reports.

The skate park will be part of a larger concept to modernize the green area. “It is a rather complex concept to lay out the Park “Valea Trandafirilor” that envisions the building of a modern municipal sports center that will include a skate park and football, volleyball and basketball courts,” said Alexandru Panfilii, head of the Capital Constructions Division.  

The complex will be built this year. A tender contest to choose the company that will plan and erect the sports complex will be announced soon. The costs will be covered by the municipal budget. A sum of 6 million lei has been already allocated for the purpose.
