Size of 2012 Farm Subsidization Fund remains unchanged from this year
The size of the Farm Subsidization Fund in 2012 will remain unchanged from this year and will stand at 400 million lei, according to the draft 2012 State Budget Law, which was approved by the Government on Friday, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Finance Minister Veaceslav Negruta noted it was for the first time that a Budget Law specified the areas to which these subsidies would be directed. These include encouraging of bank lending for farmers, encouraging of risk insurance in agriculture, encouraging of purchases of breeders, encouraging of investment in creating orchards, vineyards and greenhouses.
The modality of distributing these funds will be determined in a separate piece of regulation.
