Six young robbers face up to 15 years in jail
The police arrested six young persons on suspicion they committed robberies in Nisporeni district. The suspects are aged between 19 and 26 and are all residents of Nisporeni town. They were caught after a new break-in at a filling station in Varzaresti village. Threatening the guard with death, they stole about 5,000 lei and 45 liters of gasoline, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
When interrogated by the police, the young men admitted their guilt. During investigations, it was established that the suspects earlier committed two more robberies, the Ministry says on its website. The masked young men tied up the operators of a gas station in Bursuc village and, threatening them with two pistols, stole 3,800 lei. According to the same scheme, they robbed a shop in the same village of 900 lei.
Under the legislation, the persons found guilty of committing such offences face 6 to 15 years behind bars with (or without) fine of 10,000 to 30,000 lei.
