A man of about 20 was found in an alcoholic coma on Stefan cel Mare Blvd. and taken to Saint Trinity Hospital. An inebriated woman aged 32 took a large number of pills in order to scare her husband. She underwent gastric lavage at home and refused hospitalization. An unidentified man in his 40s was discovered dead near an apartment building on Cuza Voda Blvd. The ambulance was called by a passerby, who said a man with a head wound was lying near a house. When the ambulance arrived, the man was dead. An investigation is under way. The Chisinau Ambulance Service yesterday and last night responded to 698 calls, dealing with 56 cases of acute viral infection, 61 cases of trauma, six strokes, 22 deliveries and other emergencies.
