A boy aged six went into a coma after he was hit by a car in a crosswalk on Traian Blvd. in Chisinau in the evening of May 23.

Contacted by IPN, spokesman for the Chisinau Police Division Adrian Jovmir said that the car was driven by a man aged 35. An investigation is under way to establish who is to blame for the accident.

The boy’s mother was walking near him. She wasn’t hurt, but needed medical care. The woman lost consciousness when she saw what happened.

According to Veaceslav Plamadeala, of the Children’s Hospital “Valentin Ignatenco”, the boy is in a very serious state in the reanimatology section.
