The police arrested six persons, two of whom underage, on suspicion that they murdered a Turkish businessman. The suspects were at a house in Fantanita village of Drochia district. They were preparing to flee to Ukraine. The men had been earlier tried for thefts, hooliganism and drug dealings, Info-Prim Neo reports. Vitalie Moisei, deputy commissioner for operative work of the Rascani Police Commissariat, told a news conference that the group consisted of six members – two girls and four men – aged between 15 and 25. They are from Chisinau, Ialoveni, Hancesti, and Ungheni. Three of them had been convicted of serious crimes. According to the deputy commissioner, the group planned its acts beforehand and every member had their own role. Only the underage girl did not take part in the murder. The suspects face 12 to 20 years behind bars or life imprisonment over intentional murder. The 62-year-old Turkish man was found dead in an apartment in Chisinau’s Rascani district on January 31. On February 3, the Centru district court issued an arrest warrant for 30 days against the young woman who alerted the police. She is suspected of complicity in the murder. Allegedly, she had an affair with the man.
