Six persons killed in fires in four days

Six persons lost their lives in fires in Moldova during the last four days, Emergencies Service spokeswoman Dorina Cruc has told Info-Prim Neo. Two men aged 23 and 26 were fund dead in a freight car at a building site in Chisinau’s Telecentru quarter. The young men fell asleep with a faulty electric stove, which caused the fire. A burning cigarette caused a fire in a house in the municipality of Balti. A woman aged 85 and her son of 52 died from carbon monoxide poisoning in the fire. A 57-year-old man from Alexeevca, Ungheni, and another one of 46 from Larga, Briceni, died in similar conditions. As many as 128 persons were killed in the 1,509 fires that happened in Moldova so far this year. Two of the victims were children.
