Six persons injured in road accidents during one day
Two young men suffered injuries in a traffic accident that happened on the Chisinau – Straseni road, near Truseni village, on Wednesday, March 24.
According to Tudor Capatana, of the Traffic Police Division's PR department, the VAZ-2103 in which the two men aged 26 were traveling skidded and went straight into a tree. Allegedly, the driver was speeding. The results of the breath test are being expected.
A VAZ-2103 struck a 17-year-old girl on a crosswalk in Floresti town. The girl was rushed to the hospital with fractures of the right leg and a concussion.
A man aged 87 from Danceni village of Ialoveni district was hit by a minibus. The driver did not see the pedestrian when he was drawing his car backward.
Another minibus was involved in a road accident in Lipcani town of Briceni district. A cyclist broke the traffic rules and was struck by the minibus. The man received different injuries.
An Opel-Astra driven by a 52-year-old man crashed into a tree on the Comrat – Ciadar-Lunga road. The man was taken to the hospital with multiple traumas.
Six persons were hurt in five road accidents in Moldova on March 24. The traffic police draw up 456 reports, 54 of which over traveling with the seat belts not fastened, while 31 over speeding.
