Six out of seven Moldovans won at international mixed-fight competition in Chisinau

The Moldovan capital hosted Thursday, October 29, an international mixed-fight competition that brought together fighters from Moldova, Romania, Latvia, Ukraine, Hungary, Poland, Belarus and Russia, Info-Prim Neo reports. World K-1 champion Ernesto Hoost was among the tournament's special guests. The giant Dutch praised the Moldovan athletes but said that they still need to train more to become really great fighters. “First of all, they need to improve their kicking techniques. If they progress, they can win international acclaim as well”, said Hoost. Six out of seven Moldovan fighters participating won on the ring. The victors are Vasile Cara (70 kg), Alexandru Nimerenco (75 kg), Ion Cojocaru, Pavel Pocatilov (both 80 kg), Vladimir Moraru (85 kg), Pavel Doroftei (86 kg). Ion Zavtone (82 kg) was knockouted by Victor Halmi of Hungary. All winners received money prizes of $700, while the also-rans $300 prizes.
