Six Moldovans hurt in naval accident in Tulcea

Six Moldovans were injured in a naval accident that occurred in Romania’s Tulcea in the Danube Delta on November 3. There were 14 Moldovans on one of the ships involved in the accident. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration said that according to the Romanian authorities, a person went into a coma, another two persons suffered serious injuries, but are out of danger, while three persons sustained minor injuries, IPN reports.

The causes and circumstances of the naval accident are yet to be found out. Moldova’s Consulate General in Iasi is in contact with the health facilities and monitors the state of health of the Moldovans and also keeps in touch with the police in Tulcea so as to learn about the causes of the accident.
