Six minibus passengers injured in two traffic accidents
Two Chisinau route minibuses were involved Thursday, April 17, in traffic accidents, as a result of which six passengers have been hospitalized.
Silvia Babara, doctor-coordinator of the Chisinau Emergency Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that a trolleybus on route 17 collided with a Mercedes minibus on route 171 around 12:00 at the intersection of Cantemir Blvd. and Ismail Str. A 33-year-old female occupant of the minibus wounded her head, while a 20-year-old male passenger suffered contusion of the facial soft tissues.
Two hours later, another Mercedes minibus, on route 160, collided with a Toyota car on Columna Str. As a result, four passengers on the minibus sustained various injuries, ranging from brain concussion to bone fractures.
A 36-year-old cab driver and his two female passengers, both aged 20, suffered brain concussions after the car they were traveling in struck another vehicle. The accident occurred in the junction of Bucuresti and Ismail streets at 1:00 early Friday morning.
A Renault car struck an 8-year-old girl in the intersection of Rascanu and Vladimirescu streets. The child was hospitalized at Valentin Ignatenco Hosp for brain concussion treatment.
A 57-year-old man broke his left clavicle and injured the soft tissues of his skull after falling two and a half meters from a building site in Chisinau. The man was admitted to the Emergency Hospital.
On April 17, the Chisinau Emergency Service registered 720 calls, responding to 80 cases of trauma and 6 cases of brain strokes.
