Six killed, 11 injured in Danceni accident

The road accident that happened in Danceni, Ialoveni on the afternoon of June 1 resulted in six deaths. Another six persons were admitted to the Chisinau Emergency Hospital in a serious condition. A minibus with 21 passengers collided with a truck near the lake in Danceni, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The spokesman for the National Emergency Medicine Center Petru Cravet said that 11 persons hurt in the accident were taken to the Emergency Hospital. Most of them suffered head injuries. One person underwent surgery, while six were admitted to the reanimatology section, three of whom were connected to artificial respiration apparatus.
The minibus was returning from a funeral held in Ialoveni. There were 16 musicians of a band, the conductor and three women from the village in the bus. A young man who was in the minibus said four of his colleagues, one of woman aged 12, and two women died on the spot.
The head of the Traffic Police Division Sergiu Armasu said the police took all the measures needed to establish who is to blame for the accident. The minibus ran on route No. 127 in Chisinau, but wasn’t on route when the accident happened.
Earlier this week, a minibus collided with a car and overturned in Chisinau. Sixteen persons were hurt, three of whom seriously. A woman suffered pelvic fractures, another one got her arms broken, while the driver of the minibus is still in a critical condition.
