Six injured on Chisinau roads on Thursday

Six persons suffered various injuries in three traffic accidents recorded on Thursday, March 20, and the following night on Chisinau roads. As a result, a 21-year-old female passenger on the taxi suffered brain concussion. At 11:00, a 30-year-old man driving a Mazda-626 car at high speed on Balcani Str. lost steering control and ended up on the opposite side of the road crashing into a concrete pillar. The driver suffered spinal injuries and a 23-year-old passenger traveling with him got his head injured. On Thursday night at 1:00 am, a Land-Rover and a Mercedes collided in the intersection of the streets Hancesti and Sprancenoaia. The 49-year-old driver of the first car suffered soft tissue injuries of the right thigh, and the second driver, 22, ended up with his face smashed. Other 17 minor accidents were registered during that period. Traffic officers fined 13 persons for drunk-driving, and the same number of drivers for not wearing seatbelts. 36 tickets were issued for ignoring traffic lights and 19 for jaywalking.
