Six hurt in Sunday road accidents
Six persons were admitted to hospital on Sunday, December 9, after being hurt on Chisinau’s roads.
Chisinau Traffic Police Inspector Ion Roscovanu told Info-Prim Neo that the first accident occurred at around 11:00 AM near an accommodation establishment in the suburban town of Vadul lui Voda, when a man, 40, lost control over the Peugeot he was driving and hit a lamppost. The driver suffered brain concussion.
A Dacia-Logan, taxi 1404, collided with a Mercedes -312 at the intersection of the streets Putna and Lupan. The man driving the Mercedes suffered a minor injury of the arm, while the 21-year-old passenger travelling in the taxicab suffered a head wound.
A collision between a BMW and a trolleybus on route 20, occurred on Pan Halippa Street at 9:00 PM, left three persons hurt, including a passenger travelling on the trolleybus.
14 minor accidents occurred on Sunday in Chisinau. Police officers fined 12 drivers for drunk-driving, 63 for speeding, and 27 for neglecting the traffic lights.
