Situation in civil aviation discussed by Cabinet

The Ministry of Transport and the Civil Aviation Authority are to present, within ten days, the package of draft normative documents that must be adjusted to the European directives, in accordance with the assumed commitments. Such instructions were given in a working meeting of the Cabinet, which centered on the situation in the area of civil aviation, IPN reports.

According to the Government’s press service, Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici said he received complaints concerning irregularities committed in the system. The National Competition Protection Agency, the Ministry of Economy and other competent bodies are to take measures to create equidistant working conditions and to ensure loyal competition for the economic entities working at the Chisinau International Airport.

Chiril Gaburici also instructed the competent bodies to ensure the aviation security in accordance with the European standards, by strictly obeying all the legal provisions on the territory of the Chisinau International Airport, which is a strategic facility of national importance.
