The situation as regards the use of the Moldovan airspace has remained unchanged since March 21, the Civil Aviation Authority has said following reports that Moldova’s airspace is bypassed on an area of about 100 km, IPN reports.
After the military operations started on the territory of Ukraine, the airspace of the Republic of Moldova was closed. On March 21, a part of the airspace was opened to civil aviation, only on the Western direction Chisinau-Iasi.
“Therefore, and also because the Ukrainian airspace remains closed to civil aviation, civil aircraft do not enter the airspace of the Republic of Moldova,” said the Civil Aviation Authority.
