Sisters orphaned by Soroca blast will receive monthly allowances from Chisinau authorities

The authorities of Chisinau municipality will provide by a monthly allowance of 2,000 lei during a year to the sisters Irina and Dina Palamari that lost their parents in the explosion on a residential block in Soroca town on October 27. The girls, who are now in a hospital in Chisinau, will also receive 15,000 lei in assistance. According to the Chisinau City Hall’s Public Relations Division, on November 7 the Chisinau authorities also offered 15,000 lei in aid to the Streletski family that lost their daughter in the blast. The same sum will be provided to the family of the fire-fighter that died on duty. The injured fire-fighter who is still in hospital will receive 10,000 lei. The residents of 15 apartments of the block that were less affected and managed to save some of the goods were provided with 4,000 lei each. Another seven families whose apartments were seriously damaged received 6,000 lei. One family received 8,000 lei, while six families by 10,000 lei each. The offered financial assistance totals 273,300 lei. Four civilians died in the explosion that occurred in an apartment building located on 117 Stephan the Great Street in Soroca. One firefighter died during rescue works, while another was hospitalised in a serious condition.
