The Security and Intelligence Service (SIS) is at the embryonic development stage compared with the realities in the Republic of Moldova, said invitees of the talk show “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.
Blogger Veaceslav Balacci stated that the SIS continues to be a Soviet-type institution that is at the embryonic development stage if we judge by the realities in society and the regional challenges faced by the Republic of Moldova.
Referring to the banking frauds, the blogger said the Security and Intelligence Service should have presented reports in Parliament and taken part in hearings on the situation created in the banking sector, not present secret reports.
Analyst Victor Gurau said emphasis in the reforms launched in the security sector is placed on outdated mechanisms and procedures. Moldova, being a young state that faces a multitude of internal weaknesses and foreign risks, should be able to analyze these things and competent people are needed for the purpose.
According to Victor Gurau, there is no systemic approach for the future in the Republic of Moldova.
