A single phone number will be active at the information office of the state-run company Moldova’s Railways for obtaining information about train schedules and ticket prices as from January 1, 2018. The new number (022) 83 33 33 can already be used. The current numbers used for the purpose will become nonfunctional on January 1 next year, IPN reports.

According to the company’s administration, the new service works as a call centers and provides information about the schedules of trains, prices of train tickets and other data round-the-clock. To improve communication between passengers and operators, the received calls will be recorded so that the passengers could inform officials in charge of Moldova’s Railways about eventual shortcomings or inconveniences faced in the process of telephone communication with employees of the information office.

No additional commissions will be charged besides those for standard phone calls. The information about the schedule of foreign trains crossing Moldova will also be offered free of charge. If the passengers want to find out more information about a train route that does not go through Moldova, these will be referred to another service, which is provided for money.
