A police officer from Singera town of Chisinau municipality was put on the wanted list. He left Moldova after a criminal case had been started against him over use of torture, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Prosecutor General’s Office. According to prosecutors, on November 25 the policeman maltreated a man in the police station, kicking and punching him and then handcuffing him to a radiator. The illegal acts by the police officer lasted for almost two hours, until the prosecutor came to the police station. An arrest warrant has been recently issued against the policeman, he being announced wanted.
