Singer Mariana Dobzeu calls on Moldovans to love traditions

Folk music singer and craftswoman Mariana Dobzeu on the Independence Day calls on the Moldovans to love more their traditions and the people and to be closer to everything that means people’s art.

The artist has told IPN that though she was little, she remembers well the enthusiasm of 1991. Asked if the Moldovans still have that enthusiasm, she said that the people rather lost themselves in the distrust in what the independent state offers to them.

“As to culture, I can say that we anyway witness a revival. We have access and national freedom. The people pay more attention to everything that is related to tradition. There are held more cultural events, festivals and exhibitions of handicrafts as these things represent us as a people,” said Mariana Dobzeu. She underlined that independence and its value derive from each citizen.
