The deadline for authorizing the connection of small-capacity production facilities from renewable sources intended for own consumption is reduced from a maximum of 30 days to 10 calendar days. Also, a certificate of compliance will no longer be mandatory for domestic consumers, as a declaration from an authorized electrician will be sufficient. The provisions are contained in a draft regulation approved by the Government, which intends to simplify the procedures for connecting energy production systems from renewable sources for domestic consumers.
In the case of domestic consumers, at the planning phase, a construction permit will not be required, while a technical design will be required only for the electricity compartment and the resistance of the installation.
The draft also provides for the modification of the payment day by the supplier of the surplus electricity generated in the grid by the final consumer. This will no longer be December 31, but March 31, so that consumers can use the energy produced in the summer during the winter.
“The changes proposed in this legislative initiative aims to help consumers, particularly those at home, who represent the most vulnerable category. Thus, investment costs and costs for putting into operation an electricity generation system that uses renewable energy sources to cover the consumer’s own household consumption will be reduced. As a result, the domestic electricity output will increase”, say the authorities.
