Simpler requirements for Romania visa applicants heading for Italian Consulate in Bucharest

The Consulate of Romania in Chisinau has eased the procedure for granting visas for Romania to the persons that have the Consulate of Italy in Bucharest as their destination. The applications can be submitted starting October 1, Mon-Fri 12:00-14:00, within the limits of the consulate’s processing capacity. The move of the Romanian Consulate comes in support of the Moldovan citizens who are going to the Italian Consulate for a work visa or for family reintegration purposes and aims to eliminate intermediaries, the Romanian Embassy in Moldova said in a press release. Applicants must allow at least six days between the submission date and the appointment date scheduled with the Italian Consulate in Bucharest. On October 1 the Romanian Consulate will accept applications from the persons who are scheduled for an appointment with the Italian Consulate on October 9. The Consular Division of the Romanian Embassy notes that applications will be accepted solely from the citizens included in the official list confirmed by the Italian Consulate. Besides the application forms, applicants shall produce an employment contract or a document confirming family reintegration (master and copy) and the health insurance (master and copy).
