The Socialist MPs on April 6 proposed a simple motion over the policies pursued in education by Minister Corina Fusu, IPN reports.
Socialist MP Adrian Lebedinski said in Parliament that teachers’ protests show the situation in the education sector is disastrous. The Socialists demand that the salaries of teachers and auxiliary personnel of education institutions should be increased, that the school curriculum should be reviewed, including by introducing the History of Moldova course, and that the policy to close schools should be stopped.
The Socialist MPs also expressed their disagreement with the Ministry of Education’s proposal to introduce a mandatory 40-day summer vacation for kindergartens.
The date when the motion will be debated in Parliament will be decided by the Standing Bureau within 14 days.
