The General Public Transport and Communications Division is to present a plan for easing traffic in Chisinau until November 17, at the request of acting mayor of Chisinau Silvia Radu. Otherwise, resignations will have to be tendered, IPN reports.
“Discuss with representatives of the Ministry of the Interior and with whom you consider necessary and by Friday present a very concrete plan for easing traffic that can be applied immediately. Don’t come with stories that we do not have money at the City Hall and cannot solve the problems and there are a lot of bureaucratic obstacles. If you think you cannot cope and cannot identify solutions, allow others do to it and I will wait for your resignations,” Silvia Radu stated in the November 13 meeting of chiefs of Chisinau services and divisions.
The acting mayor also asked for statistics about the use of antiskid material in winter. The request was made after the Transport Division’s deputy head Vitalie Butucel said that 1,000 cubic meters of sand and salt are available to be used in the cold season and another 5 tonnes of antiskid material are to be bought until December 1.
“I want a lot the citizens to no longer see on TV situations when the authorities are taken by surprise in winter. This Friday we will have an ordinary meeting of the council for emergencies in the cold season and I ask you to prepare a clear-cut plan in this regard,” stated Silvia Radu.
