Independent candidate for mayor of Chisinau Silvia Radu said that no matter what the election outcome is, each of the votes she received honors her, IPN reports.
“The voting is over! I thank all those who today gave me their vote of trust,” Silvia Radu wrote on her Facebook page after the polling places closed.
The voter turnout in the municipality of Chisinau by 9am was 35.53%, which is over 225,000 voters.
