The leader of the Shor Party Ilan Shor said the first bill that the party will introduce into Parliament will refer to the extension of the powers of MP so that these become a kind of governors of the regions where they won their seat of MP, IPN reports.
According to Ilan Shor, by this bill they want to ensure control and the MPs’ broader support for the local public authorities so as to ensure the delivery of the electoral promises.
As to the election outcome, the current mayor of Orhei town said Moldova started to wake up and the people now place emphasis not on politicians, but on managers who do something concrete. Moldova ultimately left geopolitics aside and put the real deeds at the forefront.
Ilan Shor congratulated all the inhabitants of the constituencies where the candidates of the Shor Party emerged victorious. “We will go there and will work as we promised,” stated the politician.
The results after the processing of 99.4% of the vote records show the Shor Party enters Parliament with 8.35% of the poll. The party’s candidates also won the elections in two single-member constituencies.
