The MPs of the Shor Party propose that the draft decisions and decisions of the Parliament’s Standing Bureau should be presented in the official language with translation into Russian. They registered a bill to amend and supplement the Parliament’s Regulations, IPN reports.
The MPs said that after analyzing the content of the Parliament’s Regulations, they ascertained the lack of provisions concerning the language in which those documents of the Bureau should be written and adopted. They thus propose amending the Regulations so as to remove this “shortcoming”.
“This formula is optimal as, under Law No. 100/2017 concentering normative documents, the draft normative documents are presented by the author in the official language, with translation into Russian. Moreover, such an approach is complaint with Law No. 382/2001 concerning the rights of national minorities and the legal status of their organizations. Under this law, the state ensures the publication of normative documents, official communiqués and other information of national importance in the Moldovan and Russian languages,” the MPs of the Shor Party said in the informative note to the bill.
