Ilan Shor announced his party will initiate proceedings to impeach President Maia Sandu and give Parliament a vote of no confidence.
“The only solution to save our country is to oust the president and hold early legislative and presidential elections”, stated Shor from his refuge.
“I understand that many will now say that we do not have enough votes in Parliament. That is true. But I hope that many MPs who have entered Parliament on the PAS list, who have believed in our sincere intentions, who are sincere and good people, and who have seen the genocide against their own people, will analyze carefully and think carefully about how they must vote in the name of the citizens and in the name of saving the country”, declared Shor, adding:
“If we do not stop this lawlessness today, tomorrow could be too late. They brought you to the brink of poverty, trampled on your opinion, stole your vote. What else needs to happen to convince you that the current government does not care at all about the interests of the common people? Enough is enough”, said Shor, referring to the removal of Shor Party’s Marina Tauber from the Bălți mayoral runoff election.
Tauber was disqualified after the election body complained she violated campaign financing rules and failed to address previous warnings.
