Before the first round of the presidential elections, the Shor Party called on the residents of Orhei town not to vote. Now the political council of the party urges the people to go to the polls and to make an objective choice, IPN reports.
In a message on a social networking site, the party’s political council says they called upon the inhabitants of Orhei to boycott the first round of the elections in protest at the decision to exclude the party’s candidate Inna Popenco from the electoral race.
“However, today, before the runoff elections, the situation has changed. The continuation of the boycott, from legal viewpoint, is useless when there is no mandatory voter turnout for the runoff,” the party says in its message.
The political council of the Shor Party also says it is clear that everyone has their preferences in the runoff and calls on the voters to make an objective choice that will not endanger the projects initiated together.
