Tatiana Platon, Shor Party’s candidate in Constituency no.50, is asking the Central Election Commission to intervene in order “to put an end to cases of vote buying” by members of the electoral bloc NOW.
Platon said in a press release that she notified the CEC after “a number of citizens” reported that voters at the polling station in the German city of Frankfurt were being offered money to vote for NOW’s Maia Sandu in the constituency and for the bloc on the national ballot.
“The Moldovan citizens who accept to be paid are asked to provide mobile phone pictures as proof of voting for Maia Sandu and the electoral bloc ACUM Platform DA and PAS, after which they are given various amounts of euros”, reads the press release.
Tatiana Platon is asking the CEC and relevant authorities to intervene in order to stop such activities and punish those responsible.
