Shor Party announces four-year privately-funded infrastructure program in two constituencies

The Shor Party has announced it is launching a street lighting project, to be followed by other infrastructure projects, throughout the two single-member constituencies it won in the latest legislative elections. The party’s leader, MP Ilan Shor told a press conference the initial project will last 12 months and will cover a total of 104 towns and villages.

“Tomorrow already we are starting to wholly modernize public lightning systems in 104 localities of the country. Modern public lighting is so indispensable in our villages, where people now have to use flashlights at night”, stated Ilan Shor.

He added that in the second year, a road rehabilitation project will follow; in the third – every community will have a medical establishment; and in the fourth year – all the communities’ educational establishments will be operational.

Answering reporters’ questions, Shor said the projects will be financed by the foundation “For Orhei”, founded by private companies.

Besides winning seats in Parliament on the proportional representation component, the Shor Party won two single-member constituencies, with then-mayor of Orhei Ilan Shor taking Orhei & Calarasi and the party’s vice president Marina Tauber taking a neighboring constituency.
