During May 13-22, Shopping MallDova is housing a Tourism Fair that was organized in partnership with the National Association of Travel Agencies (NATA). It is the first shopping center in Moldova that stages such an event, Info-Prim Neo reports. NATA head Sevastian Botnari said he was satisfied with the cooperation with Shopping MallDova. He stated that the offers of the travel agencies are intended both for those who love exotic holiday resorts and those who can travel on a tight budget. “We have attractive offers for families and private individuals that include new tourist destinations abroad and in Moldova, to historical and architectural monuments,” Botnari said. He also said that about 200 travel agencies work in Moldova at present, 70 of which are members of the NATA. “The 21 agencies that take part in the fair are members of the Association. Thus, besides normal conditions for holidaying and traveling, they also provide increased security for the tourists,” Sevastian Botnari said. The National Association of Travel Agencies awarded a diplomat to the Bulgarian Ambassador to Moldova Georgi Panayotov, for his special contribution to developing tourism. Georgi Panayotov welcomed the cooperation between Shopping MallDova and the Association in promoting the tourist products, saying he is glad that Bulgaria remains one of the most favorite tourist destinations of the Moldovan citizens. Diplomas were also given to Mariana Iuga, the head of the Tourism Promotion Office of Romania, Ludmila Dumitras, director general of the Tourism Agency of Moldova, and Angela Rosca, a representative of the international exhibitions center “Moldexpo”. The 21 travel agencies will exhibit their products and provide details about the tourist offers from 12.00 until 18.00, while on the weekend – from 10.00 until 22.00. "The opening of the Tourism Fair that brought together the most important travel agencies at Shopping MallDova represents a continuation of our activities aimed at satisfying the needs of our customers,” said Diana Adam, marketing coordinator of Shopping MallDova. About 90,000 Moldovan tourists visited foreign countries last year, mainly Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Ukraine and the EU member states.
