Sheriff captain Miral Samardzic netted from the penalty spot. “It was a tense match, especially in the first half, but in the end we obtained the result we wanted”, Sheriff coach Milan Milanovic declared after the match. “We wanted to qualify, we did our best, but it wasn’t enough. This is football”, the guests’ coach Sevada Arzumanian told the press. In the next round, Sheriff will meet the winner of the fixture between Dinamo Zagreb from Croatia and Ludogorets from Bulgaria.
