Sheriff defeated Zimbru 3-0 in Divizia Nationala matchday 16. Robert Tambe scored a pair of goals to become the current National Division top scorer, IPN reports.

Leandro Ribeiro also placed his name on the list of leading scorers as Sheriff maintained their 11-point lead ahead of Sfântul Gheorghe, which defeated Speranta 2:1. Sfântul Gheorghe's striker Vadim Cemirtan scored twice, while Stefan Efros scored the consolation goal for Speranta.

Milsami retain the third spot in the standings after emerging victorious, 2-0, against the promoted Codru. The new acquisitions Fedor Andriuhin and Sergiu Nazar scored in the first half.

In Hincesti, Petrocub outclassed Dinamo-Auto 3-0. Victor Mudrac and Alexandru Bejan scored in the first half, and the final goal was scored by the previous edition’s top scorer Vladimir Ambros, who netted for the first time this season. Petrocub are just one point behind Milsami, which they will face on Sunday in Orhei.
