Sheriff Tiraspol managed to secure only a 2-2 draw on the field of Sfantul Gheorghe Suruceni in the fifth stage of the National Division, IPN reports.

Sheriff led two times owing to the goals scored by Susic and Oancea, but striker Sergiu Istrati every time tied for the hosts. “We didn’t concentrate at the end, but the play was good,” Sheriff coach Victor Mihailov told a news conference. Mihailov replaced Roberto Bordin, who tendered his resignation last week.

The other three matches of the stage ended as follows: Dinamo-Auto - Zimbru 1-3, Speranta - Petrocub 0-0 and Zaria - Milsami 2-2. In the rankings, Sheriff is first with 13 points, having by three points more than Milsami. Petrocub comes third with seven points.
