Sheriff beat Sfântul Gheorghe 3-1 away in the last match of the 19th stage of the National Division, IPN reports.

The team from Tiraspol opened the score in the 57th minute through Kulusic, but Istrati tied in two minutes. Jerson scored for 2-1 in the 64th minute, while Palic set the scoreline in the 79th minute.

“We changed the tactics in the second half and this helped us. We have several injured players and this break caused by the matches of the national teams is welcome,” Sheriff coach Goran Sablic told a news conference.

Sheriff remains seven points ahead of Milsami, which defeated Zaria 4-3 away. Another two matches of the 19th stage ended as follows: Speranța - Petrocub 1-2 and Dinamo-Auto - Zimbru 1-1.
