Sheriff improve position in Moldovan premiership

Sheriff Tiraspol have climbed to the third slot of the National Division table after defeating Iskra-Stal at Rybnitsa, 1-0, in a Round 13 match on Monday.
The only goal of the Moldovan reigning champions was scored by Russian striker Alexandr Erokhin on 48 minutes.
With this victory Sheriff improved their position in the National Division, being only one point behind leaders Dacia Chisinau and Olimpia Balti. At the same time, Iskra-Stal suffered their first defeat in the ongoing season and Dacia remained undefeated.
On Wednesday, October 27 most of the premiership teams will play in the last-16 round of the Moldova Cup. The next round of the National Division is scheduled for Saturday, October 31.
