Sheriff played a new friendly during its training session in Cyprus. The team from Tiraspol tied 3-3 with Spartak Moscow, IPN reports.
Sheriff was led by 0-2 until the 24th minute, but Subotic reduced the difference before the end of the first half. The recently signed Ivancic drew in the 56th minute, but Spartak gained again an advantage in the 63rd minute. Moldovan player Radu Gansari set the final score in the 64th minute. “We are satisfied with this result because we played against a fourth ranked Russian team,” said the fullback of Sheriff Mateo Susic.
Earlier, Sheriff beat two teams from Russia – Kuban 2-1 and Tom 3-2. On February 23, the team from Tiraspol meets Aris of Cuprous.
