Sheriff is coming closer to a new title in the National Division. Four stages before the end of the championship, the team from Tiraspol is seven points ahead of Milsami, IPN reports.

On October 22, Sheriff beat Dinamo-Auto 4-0. Vitalie Damascan scored two goals and became the top scorer of the competition with 12 goals, which is by six more than the score of his counterpart Stefan Mugosa. The other goals were scored by Balima and Badibanga.

“It would be a mistake to relax now. Seven points is a considerable advantage, but the previous season we had to play a ‘golden‘ match after we relaxed,” Sheriff coach Roberto Bordin told a news conference.

The other matches of the 14th stage ended as follows: Petrocub - Milsami 1-0, Spicul - Sfantul Gheorghe 1-1, Zimbru - Speranta 2-1 and Dacia - Zaria 1-1.
