Sheriff left for Norway in the morning of October 2 to play the second match of the Europa League group. Tomorrow Moldova’s champion will meet Tromso, which several days ago remained without the main coach, who was dismissed for poor results, IPN reports.
Sheriff aims to score a victory on the Scandinavian territory in order to qualify for the competition’s 1/16 finals. “We go to win a victory even if we are not the favorites of this match. It is important to win if we want to play in the European spring,” said coach Veaceslav Rusnac.
“We prepared seriously for this game. I see no other result than victory. I hope to score,” said Brazilian halfback Henrique Luvannor.
Sheriff has one point after drawing at home with Anji, while Tromso lost the debut match to Tottenham away 0-3. Moldova’s champion played two times in the Europa League groups, but never won a victory away.
The encounter between Tromso and Sheriff will take place on October 3, starting at 8pm.
