The State Weather Service this afternoon has downgraded the severe weather alert, currently in place across Moldova, from code orange to code yellow.
Snow will continue to fall on Monday, but at a milder rate, of 7-16 l/m2. Roads will continue to be icy and in parts of the country ice buildups will accumulate on power lines and trees.
In the south of the country, wind gusts will reach speeds of 15-18 m/s.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, average air temperatures will drop by 5-10 degrees Celsius.
