Several localities in Moldova will be provided with water supply systems

The Government approved last week a draft law on the ratification of the Agreement signed on June 4 in Chisinau with the government of Poland, providing for a 15 million dollars loan. The financing is aimed at the implementation of investment projects in the areas of environmental protection and tap water supply networks. The projects amount to a total of about 16.6 million dollars. 10% of the total value of the contract will be paid by local public authorities. The volume of Polish assistance, including equipment, materials, technologies, services will be mainly from Poland, representing 80% of the total. The Government of Poland will receive a 1.45% interest and a 1.25% penalty for delayed payments. The loan is for 20 years, including a grace period of two years. The beneficiaries of the loan will be the local authorities selected for participation from Sangerei, Telenesti, Trebujeni, Orhei, Drochia, Rascani, Floresti, Leova, Ocnita and Ungheni.
