The legislative body created a working group that will merge the four bills concerning the pension system. Head of Parliament Marian Lupu said it should be a unified bill of all the factions, which will ensure a professional approach and will suggest solutions for efficiently using the over 400 million lei, IPN reports.
The Speaker also said that the bill that was earlier submitted by the Government was drafted in a hurry and wasn’t thoroughly analyzed. “In the form in which it was presented it can cause chaos in the social insurance system. If we adopt this bill in the current form, we will have to return to it, to abrogate it and to propose another draft law that will meet the requirements,” stated Marian Lupu.
The working group will draft the bill next week. Parliament will debate it on March 28.
