The Chisinau District Electoral Council on April 17 registered the seventh candidate as a runner in the May 20 mayoral elections of Chisinau. This is the ex-vice president of the National Integrity Commission Victor Stratila, who represents the Green Ecologist Party, IPN reports.

So far there were registered: Vasile Costiuc, of the Party “Democracy at Home”; Andrei Nastase, of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth”; Alexandr Roshko, of the Party “Our Home – Moldova”; Reghina Apostolova, of the Shor Party; Valeriu Munteanu, of the Liberal Party, and Ion Ceban, of the Party of Socialists.

Subscription lists for collecting signatures in their support and being registered as independents were requested by Sergiu Tofilat, Maia Laguta and Silvia Radu. Meanwhile, Maia Laguta announced that she gives up collecting signatures for the reason that the aspirants are given not enough time for collecting at least 10,000 signatures.

The deadline for submissions is April 19, 2018.
